For what purposes do we process your personal data?
Below is an overview of the purposes for which we process your personal data, and which data these are. The purposes are:
- maintaining contact with e.g. (potential) students, (potential) employees, customers and other interested parties;

- internal documentation (e.g. for enrollment);
- improving our study programs and services;
- for periodic marketing actions, through e-mail, telephone or post.

In order to properly perform the aforementioned tasks, we process the following categories of personal data:
- personal details, such as name, address, residence, telephone number, citizen service number and e-mail address;
- technical data, such as IP address and click and surfing behavior.
How do we get your personal data?
You provide us with your personal data yourself.
Sharing your data with third parties
Summa College will only share your personal data with other organizations if it is legally obliged to do so, or in order to perform a public task. Summa College will always check whether a request is in accordance with applicable laws.

How long do we keep your personal data?

This website uses cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer, tablet or mobile phone when you visit our website. Cookies are used, for example, to save personal settings, so that you do not have to enter these details again on your next visit to the website.

Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure and objection
You can request Summa College to rectify or erase your personal data. You also have the option to object to the processing of your data. With the right of access you can request a copy of your personal data which is processed by Summa College. The right of rectification gives you the possibility to have inaccurate personal data rectified, or completed if it is incomplete. You also have the right to request for erasure of specific personal data. The right to objection enables you to submit a request to end the processing of your personal data.
Requests can be submitted by persons concerned, authorized representatives or legal representatives. After having handled your request, we will send you an overview of the personal data that we hold on you. You can send your request, together with a copy of a valid proof of identity, to the address mentioned below. The copy of your identity document will be returned to you. If applicable, we need a copy of the authorization or a document showing the legal representation, such as a passport, marriage certificate or legal judgement.

Do you have a complaint?
If you are not satisfied with the way Summa College uses your personal data, you can file a complaint. For instance when you think Summa College does not process your personal data carefully enough, or when you are not satisfied with our response. You can use the complaint form. The form is in Dutch, but you can fill it out in English. You can also submit your complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority.

Data Protection Officer
Summa College has appointed an independent, internal data protection officer. This data protection officer has the task of ensuring that Summa College processes your personal data in accordance with the law. The officer is available per e-mail and telephone (+31 40 269 40 36).
